Having retired from a career in education working for North Somerset Education Authority spanning more than 30 years with mentally and physically handicapped children, my husband and I moved to the village of Brent Knoll where we now live with our three Welsh Springer Spaniels in Burton Row. I have two grown up boys who both live locally in Weston-s-Mare together with their families including our three grandchildren.
Since moving to the village 4 years ago, I have become actively engaged with the local community through the voluntary work I support in village shop. I’m also an active member of the village Tennis Club, Book Club and Ladies’ Circle. In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking and gardening.
Brent Knoll is a beautiful village and I care passionately about protecting its future. It’s so important that our community is allowed to thrive, prosper, and embrace changes that benefit the village but most of all protect the environment that we all enjoy for our future generations. Being a member of the local parish council is an absolute privilege, allowing me to contribute as part of a proactive team and have a voice in putting forward a balanced view on the things that matter to us all as a community. |
